معرفی
Zoltan Fodor is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Pennsylvania State University and affiliated with the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS). His research focuses on theoretical particle physics using lattice field theory methods to investigate fundamental properties of quantum chromodynamics (QCD).
His primary research interests include Quantum Chromodynamics, Lattice QCD simulations, finite-temperature physics, equations of state for quark-gluon plasma, chiral symmetry breaking, and deconfinement transitions. He specializes in computational approaches to study QCD phase diagrams under extreme conditions of temperature and density.
Recent publications (2024-2025) demonstrate concentrated efforts on precision calculations of the QCD phase diagram at finite chemical potential, hadronic contributions to the muon g-2 anomaly, and fermion formulation improvements in lattice simulations. His work consistently bridges theoretical predictions with experimental signatures in heavy-ion collisions and neutron star physics.
Dr. Fodor currently leads the active research project "The QCD Phase Diagram and Its Phenomenological Implications" (2024-2026), funded in nuclear physics, which investigates QCD behavior at non-vanishing baryon density with implications for astrophysics and collider experiments.
As a core researcher within ICDS, he leverages high-performance computing infrastructure for large-scale lattice QCD calculations, collaborating internationally on projects requiring petascale computational resources to solve non-perturbative aspects of strong interactions.
