Oscar Venter

Oscar Venter is a Professor in the Ecosystem Science and Management department within the Faculty of Environment at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). He holds the FRBC West Fraser Conservation Solutions Research Chair and leads the Conservation Solutions Lab (CSL), focusing on applied conservation science to address global biodiversity loss.

His research interests lie at the intersection of human development and ecological integrity, with a focus on identifying trade-offs and synergies between economic production, ecosystem services, and conservation.
