Oscar Jansson is a Researcher and Associate Senior Lecturer at Lund University's Centre for Languages and Literature. His work spans 20th-century literary history, translation studies, media theory, and gender research, with a focus on international literary reception and genre/media interactions.
- Education: Alumni of School of Criticism and Theory, Cornell University (2017) and visiting scholar at KU Leuven's Center for Reception Study (2019).
His research examines how works by authors like Graham Greene navigate genre boundaries and cultural value systems. Using deconstructive historiography and critical feminist sociology, he investigates the homogenization of Greene's transnational œuvre and the role of translation in gender theory.
Recent publications analyze untranslatable gender terms (2023), feminist reception of Kristina Sandberg's trilogy (2023), and the impact of the Booker Prize on global literature (2022). He also explores parody in Futurama and the aesthetics of Swedish national romanticism.
