Osamah F. Khalil is a Professor in the Department of History at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He serves as Chair of the International Relations Undergraduate Program and Senior Research Associate in the Middle Eastern Studies Program. His research focuses on U.S. foreign policy, modern Middle Eastern history, and Cold War dynamics.

Research Interests span the history of U.S. foreign relations, the evolution of Middle East studies, and the intersection of national security with academic discourse. His work examines how geopolitical priorities shape intellectual traditions, particularly through his award-winning book America’s Dream Palace and subsequent publications.
