Orcenith Smith is Professor of Music at DePauw University, a three-time 'Outstanding Professor of Music' and inaugural Cassel Grubb University Professor (1999-2003). An acclaimed tuba soloist and conductor, he performed at Carnegie Hall and with major orchestras including Cincinnati and Indianapolis.
His expertise spans orchestral conducting, opera, and tuba performance. Smith conducted over 800 performances including 150 operas at DePauw and led the DePauw Chamber Symphony on 120 international tours across Japan, Europe, and the U.S.
