Opeyemi Adedoja is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Central Arkansas. She holds a Ph.D. in Entomology from Stellenbosch University (2019) and joined UCA in 2023. Her research focuses on ecological interactions in both natural and managed ecosystems.
Research interests span community ecology, statistical modeling of ecosystems, and conservation biology. Key areas include:
- Pollination dynamics in fragmented habitats
- Impact of invasive species on native biodiversity
- Landscape management for pollinator conservation
- Ecological network analysis
Her recent publications (2021-2022) predominantly examine pollinator responses to environmental changes, invasive species impacts, and global biodiversity patterns. Work combines field experiments in diverse ecosystems (South African fynbos, pine savannahs) with meta-analyses of global datasets.
Dr. Adedoja leads the Plant-Insect Interaction Lab, facilitating undergraduate research in Arkansas ecosystems.
