Dr. Oonagh Markey is a Senior Lecturer in Nutritional Sciences at Loughborough University's School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Nutrition and Physiology from the University of Limerick (2012) and has been a Registered Nutritionist since 2014. Previously, she served as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Reading (2012–2016) and as a Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellow at Loughborough (2016–2021). Her work focuses on dietary strategies for cardiometabolic health, emphasizing vascular function, lipid metabolism, and inflammation.
