Onur Ağirseven serves as a Research Fellow in Mathematics at Marlboro College, teaching courses spanning Elementary Mathematics for Teachers to Multivariable Calculus with extensive tutoring experience from MSU's Mathematics Learning Center.
His academic foundation includes dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering and Mathematics from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul (1999), a Master of Science in Mathematics from Michigan State University (2003), and advanced PhD coursework in Algebraic Topology at MSU (dissertation incomplete). His research focuses on Mathematics Education, Algebraic Topology, and Geometry, evidenced by contributions to the textbook Elementary Geometry for Teachers.
He received the MSU Mathematics Department teaching award for pedagogical excellence and facilitated international teaching assistant orientations. His work bridges theoretical topology with practical teacher training methodologies.
