Dr. Onur Acaroglu is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Northampton's Faculty of Health, Education and Society. His research focuses on Western Marxism, temporality, and post-neoliberal transitions. He holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham, an MA from the University of Sussex, and a BA from the University of Toronto.
Research interests include Marxist theory, social movement analysis, and left-wing political strategies. His work examines temporal contradictions in socio-political transitions, with recent studies analyzing the Kemalist Revolution and neoliberal education critiques.
Key publications include Rethinking Marxist Approaches to Transition (2020) and analyses of the Free University London's anti-neoliberal education initiatives. He regularly contributes to academic journals like Globalizations and Political Studies.
