Omri Moses is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Concordia University. His work bridges literature, neuroscience, and philosophy, focusing on how literary forms interact with theories of embodied cognition and affect.
- BA (cum laude with honors) from Yale University (1997)
- PhD from University of California, Berkeley (2005)
Research Interests: Literary modernism, neuroscience and neurohumanities, theories of embodied cognition, affect theory, vitalism, aesthetics, and phenomenology. His scholarship explores how literature redefines consciousness through sensorimotor engagement with environments.
Scientific Awards:
- Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University (2005–2006)
Grants: Supported by SSHRC Individual Research Grant (2007–2012), Concordia Seed Grant (2015–2016), and SSHRC Insight Development Grant (2017–2019).
