Omer Atilla Ergi is a Lecturer in Islamic Theology at the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilisation, Charles Sturt University. His academic roles span teaching, research, and editorial contributions to Islamic publications.

Recent publications examine the relationship between physical laws and metaphysics (Australian Journal of Islamic Studies, 2024). His PhD thesis, published as a book titled Predestination and Free Will – A Comparative Study, investigates theological and philosophical debates around determinism.
