Om Prakash Yadav

Om Prakash Yadav is a postdoctoral researcher in the Rail Vehicles research group at the Department of Engineering Mechanics, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. His research focuses on rail vehicle dynamics, railway asset management, and multi-body dynamics. He earned his Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics & Design from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (2022), where his work centered on rail vehicle couplers. He has collaborated with master's and Ph.D. students on projects involving finite element analysis, artificial intelligence, and functional materials. Previously, he worked as a freelance consultant on railway couplers and disc brake design.

He is currently involved in two EU projects: IAM4RAIL (focusing on rail-wheel forces and infrastructure lifespan) and TRANS4M-R (developing simulation frameworks for digital automatic couplers in freight wagons). His skills include MATLAB, finite element analysis, and structural design.

His research interests span rail-wheel interaction, vibration analysis, and the application of AI in railway systems. He has published extensively on coupler systems, in-train forces, and rail infrastructure management.
