Olusegun Olanrele

Dr. Olusegun Olanrele is a Senior Lecturer in Real Estate at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU). Previously, he held academic positions at the University of Malaya (2019–2021) and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (2008–2019). He has extensive professional experience as a Senior Estate and Valuation Officer at the Nigerian Railway Corporation (2001–2006). His education includes a PhD in Real Estate Development and Environment (University of Malaya, 2016), MSc in GIS (Sheffield Hallam University, 2023), MSc in Estate Management (University of Lagos, 2010), and BSc in Estate Management (Obafemi Awolowo University, 1998).

Dr. Olanrele’s research focuses on GIS applications, housing affordability, investment performance, and REITs. He has led grants including the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) on housing solutions (2020), TETFUND projects analyzing REIT performance (2018) and Lagos city navigation apps (2017). He teaches courses like Infrastructure and Compulsory Purchase, Valuation, and Property Law. His work emphasizes sustainable real estate practices, urban development challenges, and policy-driven solutions in Africa.

He serves as a reviewer for journals such as the International Journal of Real Estate Studies and the Journal of Design and Built Environment. Professional memberships include the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers and the African Real Estate Society.
