Olukemi Akintewe is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of Medical Engineering at the University of South Florida, affiliated with both the College of Engineering and Morsani College of Medicine. Her research focuses on enhancing retention of women and first-generation students in STEM through structured mentoring programs and inclusive curricula. She teaches foundational engineering courses including robotics design, biomaterials, and professional communication.
