Olli Kuivalainen

Olli Kuivalainen is a Professor of International Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT), affiliated with the LUT Business School in Finland. He has been a faculty member since October 2006 and remains actively engaged in research and academic leadership.

His research interests lie at the intersection of international business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and technology management. He focuses particularly on SMEs and firms in software, media, and ICT sectors, investigating topics such as international entrepreneurship, strategic management, export performance, digitalization, and the internationalization of new ventures. His work emphasizes the roles of dynamic capabilities, network competence, and environmental factors in firm growth and global success.
