Dr. Olivia Ho is a Lecturer in Property at the Melbourne School of Design, The University of Melbourne. With over 15 years of combined academic and industry experience in the built environment, she specializes in sustainability, circular economy, and commercial project design. Her research focuses on integrating circular economy principles into construction lifecycle management, measuring sustainability benefits in office buildings, and enhancing circular economy education in the built environment.
Prior to academia, Olivia worked in construction roles as an estimator and contract administrator, managing residential and commercial projects. She utilizes tools like Cost X, Planswift, and Cubit Estimating for cost planning. Her expertise bridges practical construction processes with innovative sustainable design practices.
Research directions include Future Cities, Healthy Communities, and Practice and Construction Innovation. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary collaborations on topics such as ESG integration in commercial buildings and circular economy education frameworks.
