Dr. Olivia Hamilton is a mixed-methods researcher at the MRC/CSO Social & Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow. Her primary affiliation is with the health inequalities team, focusing on evaluations of public health interventions and socio-economic determinants of health. She holds a PhD in Translational Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh (Wellcome Trust-funded) and prior degrees from Cardiff University (BA English Language) and University College London (MSc Language Sciences with Neuroscience specialization).
Her research integrates qualitative methods (participatory systems mapping, interviews) and quantitative approaches (structural equation modeling, longitudinal cohort analysis) to address health disparities and brain health. Key projects include evaluating suicide prevention programs (PHIRST Fusion team) and analyzing pandemic impacts via the National Core Studies initiative.
