Oliver Türk

Prof. Oliver Türk is a Professor for Renewable Resources, Biofuels, and Industrial Biotechnology at Bingen University of Applied Sciences since 2010. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from TU Kaiserslautern (1998) and has extensive industry experience in polymer and composite development. His roles include Scientific Director of the Transfer Office Bingen (since 2015) and Managing Director of the Institute for Innovation, Transfer and Consulting (ITB) since 2019.

Research focuses on sustainable materials, bio-based composites, and renewable resource utilization. Key projects include HIPSTER (high-performance bio-composites), HIKE (bio-based intermediates), and Abutilon (biofibers). Awards include the 1994 Steinhofer Prize and 2006 AVK Innovation Award.

Teaching covers courses like Biogenic Materials, Sustainable Mobility, and Thermodynamics. He actively engages in public lectures and policy discussions on renewable energy, electromobility, and environmental protection. His work bridges academia and industry through projects like the Biogenic Workshop and Ecoliance network.
