Oliver Müller

Oliver Müller is a researcher at the Laboratory of Astrophysics under the School of Basic Sciences at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He previously held roles as an SNSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Strasbourg (2018–2021) and a Senior Data Analyst at Google, Switzerland (2021–2022). Müller earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Basel (2008–2018).

Research Interests: Müller specializes in dwarf galaxies, challenging the standard cold dark matter cosmology by demonstrating their ordered orbital patterns in systems like Centaurus A and the Milky Way. His work intersects galactic dynamics, structure formation, and observational astronomy, with a focus on ultra-diffuse galaxies and globular clusters.
