Oliver Herber is a Professor and Chairholder of Community Health Nursing at the Private University Witten/Herdecke since 2021. He leads the research focus Enhancing Self-Care in People with Long Term Conditions within the Department of Nursing Science at the Faculty of Health.

• Qualitative meta-synthesis techniques (Sandelowski & Barroso)
• Qualitative longitudinal research
• Complex intervention designs with behavior change
• Development of the ACHIEVE Handbook based on COM-B model
• Creation of situation-specific theory on self-care barriers/facilitators for heart failure patients
• Development of QUANTUM Typology and PAGER Framework
