Oline Eriksen Rio is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Norwegian Centre for Molecular Biology and Medicine (NCMM), affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo. She is part of the Emma Haapaniemi Group focused on precision pediatrics and gene editing.
- BSc in Human Genetics from Trinity College Dublin
- MSc in Biomedicine from the University of Bergen
- Work experience in cancer genomics and diagnostics at Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen
Her research spans molecular biology and CRISPR reagent design for translational medicine, particularly through large-scale CRISPR guide screening to address gene editing challenges in primary immunodeficiency disorders with patient-specific mutations. Her 2023 publication in European Urology Oncology explores HPV-associated penile cancer survival trends in a Norwegian cohort.
