Dr. Olga Zelinska is a sociologist and Assistant Professor at SWPS University's Institute of Social Sciences and Institute of Humanities in Warsaw. Her research focuses on social movements, political parties, and social inequalities, with fieldwork spanning Poland (Women’s Strike), Ukraine (Euromaidan), and Germany (Fridays for Future). She currently leads the National Science Centre-funded project The Impact of War on Social Movements in Europe (2024–2027) and previously directed Relationship Between Social Movements and Political Parties (2021–2024).

Her research explores how wars reshape European civil society, movement-party interactions, and structural drivers of social mobility and health disparities. Methodologically, she combines ACLED dataset analysis, interviews with protest organizations, and comparative case studies. Recent work examines the Ukrainian diaspora's transnational activism and the legacy of exogenous shocks on democratic representation.
She collaborates with institutions across Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Canada, including the Open Society Foundation, Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, and University of Toronto. Her publications appear in Acta Politica, International Sociology, and edited volumes like The Palgrave Handbook of Non-State Actors in East-West Relations.
