Olga Shishkina

Olga Shishkina is a Professor and Group Leader of the "Theory of Turbulent Convection" at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPI-DS), Göttingen, Germany. She holds habilitations in Fluid Mechanics (TU Ilmenau, 2009) and Mathematics (Georg August University, Göttingen, 2014). Her career includes roles as a Senior Lecturer, Researcher at DLR, and DFG Heisenberg Fellow.

Research Interests: Focus on turbulent thermal convection, including natural/forced/mixed convection, coherent structures, boundary layers, and numerical simulations. Applications span oceanic circulation, nanofluid heat transfer, solar convection, and low-gravity convection. She investigates rotation effects, non-Boussinesq dynamics, and fluid property variations.
