Olga Mikhaleva

Olga Mikhaleva serves as a Lecturer in Solfeggio and Aural Training at the Department of Composition & Music Theory, Mozarteum University Salzburg, a position she has held since 2013.

Education:

• Music pedagogy studies at Vitebsk Music College, Belarus
• Master's degree (2000) from Minsk State Academy of Music specializing in button accordion (under Prof. Nikolaj Sevrjukov), orchestral conducting (under Prof. Gennadi Provatorov), and music pedagogy
• Advanced conducting studies at Mozarteum University Salzburg with Prof. Dennis Russell Davies (orchestral) and Prof. Karl Kamper (choral), plus courses with Neil Thomson and Peter Gülke

Research and Professional Focus: Mikhaleva's expertise centers on music education methodology, particularly aural training systems and solfeggio pedagogy. Her practical work emphasizes amateur ensemble development through collaborations with regional orchestras and choirs. Professional Engagements: Extensive conducting portfolio includes Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, oenm, Philharmonic Orchestra Bad Reichenhall, Brucknerorchester Linz, Vienna State Opera choir, Gustav Mahler Choir Vienna, and Slovak Philharmonic Choir Bratislava. Notable projects include Braunau Symphony Orchestra, Burghausen Chamber Orchestra, Salzburg Mozart Choir, and Mattighofen Project Choir/Orchestra. Invited as assistant conductor for Choeur de Radio France production in Paris (2015).
