Professor Olga Lomová is a full-time faculty member at Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, Institute of East Asian Studies, serving as Professor since 2014 and director of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation International Sinological Center since 2001. She has held continuous academic positions at the university since 1987, progressing from assistant to teaching roles before achieving professorship.

Her cross-cultural perspective examines ideological transformations through Central and Eastern European lenses, while pioneering transdisciplinary approaches in humanities. She actively bridges academic scholarship with contemporary political commentary through Sinopsis, the Czech platform she co-founded for China-Central Europe analysis.
Scientific recognition:
- Fulbright fellowship (2000) for research on Yongming style poetry at Harvard University
She has secured major research funding including the Ministry of Education-supported 'Deconstruction and Construction of National Traditions and Science in China' (2012-2016) and National Taiwan University's 'Oral History of Czechoslovak Sinology' (2010). Academic leadership includes Secretary General of the European Association for Chinese Studies (2002-2006) and current directorship of Charles University's Institute for the Study of Strategic Regions.
Lomová directs the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation International Sinological Center while co-leading Sinopsis, the influential Czech digital platform analyzing Chinese politics and Central-Eastern European relations through scholarly commentary and original research.
