Olga Dekalo serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Art History department at State University of New York at New Paltz, where she teaches Museum Studies courses including the practical seminar in museum practice. Her multifaceted career encompasses both academic teaching and extensive curatorial work across prominent art institutions.
She holds a Master of Arts in Curatorial Studies from Bard College's Center for Curatorial Studies, where she also served as Visiting Faculty. Her academic experience extends to roles as Visiting Critic at the International Center of Photography, Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts, and Purchase College, SUNY.
Research & Creative Activity: Her current research examines countercultural and alternative art activity and collectives from the 1980s, while she actively programs exhibitions and performances with the River Valley Arts Collective as their Director and Curator.
