John Sharp is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences of SUNY New Paltz, where he has served in full-time teaching and administrative roles since 2000. His work bridges academic leadership with research in geopolitical and urban-economic themes.
Research Interests:
- Geopolitics & Media
- Urban-Economic Development
- Geography and Public Policy
- Historical Geography of North America
- Geographic Learning
Teaching Interests include Economic Geography, Political Geography, Urban Geography, World Geography, and Geography of North America.
Scientific Awards:
- LA&S Teacher of the Year (2008-09)
