Dr Ole Tietz is a Senior Research Fellow and Group Leader at the Dementia Research Centre, Macquarie Medical School. He holds a PhD in Oncology from the University of Alberta and an MRes in Biomedical Physical Chemistry from Imperial College London. His research focuses on developing small molecules and biologics to combat neurodegenerative diseases.

Research Interests: Ole's work spans neurodegenerative disease diagnostics and treatment, including:
- Targeting protein-protein interfaces in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's
- Biologics development (peptides, antibodies)
- Molecular imaging for early disease detection
- Therapeutic innovation for Dementia and Motor Neuron Disease
Projects: Active in 2024-2025 research on Alzheimer's biological drugs, TDP-43 neuroimaging, and radiochemistry facilities. Previously contributed to COX-2 imaging and alpha-particle therapy studies.
Labs: Leads the Chemistry Group at Macquarie's Dementia Research Centre, collaborating with institutions like Oxford and Cambridge.
