Olawale Akingbade

Olawale Akingbade is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on language documentation, phonology, and tone grammar, particularly for understudied and endangered languages in Africa.

His work includes dictionary compilation, phonological analysis, and grammar documentation. Recent publications highlight acoustic studies of Yoruba oral poetry and tonological analysis in Ilaje.
