Dr. Olav Krigolson is a Professor in Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education at the University of Victoria's Faculty of Health. He directs the Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience Laboratory (TAN Lab), specializing in cognitive neuroscience and neuroeconomics. His research integrates theoretical models of learning/decision-making with applied mobile EEG technology for real-world problem-solving, including NASA collaborations for astronaut monitoring and clinical applications.
His work employs EEG, fMRI, eye-tracking, and computational modeling to study neural mechanisms underlying human cognition. Current projects include neuroimaging in isolated environments (HI-SEAS Mars Habitat), fatigue monitoring in emergency rooms, and predictive performance modeling in sports.
