Olaide Felix Olabode

Olaide Felix Olabode is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Huddersfield's School of Computing and Engineering. Based in the Engineering Control and Machine Performance Group (ECMPG) within the Centre for Precision Technologies, their work focuses on machine tool metrology and manufacturing systems automation, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals through advanced precision engineering techniques.

Their research spans temperature measurement, ultrasonics, and acoustic wave velocity, with applications in high-precision manufacturing processes. Recent publications highlight innovations in ultrasonic thermometry using pulse-echo methods and core temperature measurement for metals to reduce thermal errors in machining.

Active in research dissemination, Olabode has presented on ultrasonic phase-shift methods for on-CMM temperature measurement at euspen conferences in 2022 and 2021. They are currently accepting PhD students for projects related to these research areas.
