Oksana Bartosh serves as an Instructor in the Master of Educational Technology (MET) program within the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia. She concurrently operates as a partner at Directions Evidence and Policy Research Group, a Vancouver-based consultancy specializing in decision-oriented research, evaluation, and policy analysis for public and private sector clients.
Her educational foundation includes a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from UBC, complemented by Master’s degrees in Environmental Sciences and Policy (Central European University) and Environmental Studies (Evergreen State College). With over 15 years of international experience, her expertise spans environmental, science, and outdoor education across secondary and post-secondary contexts.
Dr. Bartosh’s methodological proficiency encompasses systematic literature reviews, program/project evaluations, policy analyses, education standards development, and mixed-methods research. Her professional focus integrates curriculum design with evidence-based policy solutions through both academic instruction and consultancy work.
As a key contributor to UBC’s MET program, she teaches ETEC 500 while leveraging her consultancy role to bridge academic research with real-world policy applications. Her cross-sector engagement demonstrates a commitment to translating educational theory into practical frameworks for diverse institutional stakeholders.
