Professor Ofer Gal is a faculty member in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Sydney. He earned his PhD from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh and his MA from Tel Aviv University. His research focuses on Baroque science, early modern science, and the ethics of knowledge production. He has held research fellowships at prestigious institutions including the Max Planck Institute for History of Science in Berlin and Princeton University.
