Research Interests:
Dr. Sevim's research focuses on the development and characterization of innovative cementitious materials, including geopolymer composites, lightweight construction materials, and sustainable building solutions. He explores the use of recycled and waste materials such as marble powder, brick and tile waste, and firebrick residues in construction. His work also delves into smart construction technologies, including the integration of sensing systems and magnetized water effects in cement-based systems. Environmental sustainability, high-temperature performance, and mechanical optimization are central themes in his research.
Publications Overview:
Dr. Sevim has authored 33 SCI-E indexed publications, with 20 in Q1 journals, covering advanced materials in civil engineering. His recent work emphasizes geopolymer technology, recycled construction materials, and thermal-mechanical performance of composites under extreme conditions. The research spans from microstructural analysis to large-scale application, contributing significantly to sustainable and smart infrastructure development.
Projects and Patents:
He has participated in numerous national and international research projects, focusing on sustainable construction materials and innovative engineering solutions. He holds 1 patent related to his research in cementitious systems.
Leadership and Service:
Since 2020, Dr. Sevim has served as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Kırıkkale University, contributing to academic leadership and strategic development in engineering education and research.
