Núria Aliaga Alcalde

Núria Aliaga Alcalde is an ICREA Research Professor at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) and leads the Nanomaterials and Functional Surfaces (FunNanoSurf) group since 2014. She is also deputy coordinator of the Research Line 4, "Tuneable and Low Cost Molecular Electronics" at ICMAB.

Research Interests:

• Molecular-based materials
• Nanostructuring and surface applications
• Multifunctional molecules and polymers
• Magnetic, electronic, and fluorescent properties
• Nanodevice integration

Her work spans coordination chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and nanochemistry, with a focus on graphene-based molecular junctions and multifunctional sensors. She mentors PhD, Master’s, and undergraduate students, including Daniel Riba López (electronic transport), Teresa Cardona (curcuminoid materials), Marc Surós (2D materials), and Clara Moreno Bravo (fluorescent sensors).
