Dr. Manuel Nägele is a Research Fellow at the University of Tübingen’s Faculty of Protestant Theology, specializing in New Testament studies with a focus on Pauline anthropology. He holds a summa cum laude doctorate (2022) and is currently pursuing habilitation on miracles in the Lukan works. His academic journey includes studies at Heidelberg and Tübingen, supported by scholarships from the Evangelisches Stift Tübingen and Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. He has served as an academic assistant at institutions in Zürich and Tübingen under renowned scholars like Prof. Jörg Frey and Prof. Michael Tilly.
His research explores intersections between Pauline theology and Greco-Roman/Hellenistic-Jewish thought, particularly the concept of νοῦς (nous). Key works include a monograph on Pauline anthropology and co-edited volumes on biblical exegesis and early Christian anthropology. He also engages in comparative studies between classical literature (e.g., Horace) and Pauline texts.
Recent publications focus on methodological approaches to Pauline terms, Reformation-era exegesis, and interdisciplinary analyses of early Christian thought.
