Nyoman Sutarsa

Dr. Nyoman Sutarsa is an Academic Lead (Research) at the ANU Rural Clinical School and Senior Lecturer in Population Health at the School of Medicine and Psychology, Australian National University. He holds a MD, MPH, PhD, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). His research focuses on health equity, HIV/AIDS, mental health, climate resilience, and health system strengthening. Key areas include addressing syndemics among LGBTQ+ communities in Southeast Asia, evaluating health insurance equity in Indonesia, and improving primary care in rural/remote settings. He leads/co-leads six projects on topics ranging from climate-resilient healthcare to combating misinformation in Indonesia.
