Nynke Schulp is an Associate Professor in Environmental Geography at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), affiliated with the Faculty of Science and the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute. Her research focuses on societal demand for ecosystem services, sustainable land use, and global consumption patterns' impact on landscapes. She leads projects like BrightspotsCSA (Climate Smart Agriculture) and contributes to Horizon Europe initiatives (PLUSChange, FoodCityBoost). She teaches courses on historical geography, sustainable land use, and scenario development.
