Nuria Garcia Herranza

Nuria Garcia Herranza serves as a Professor in the Department of Energy Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), holding appointments dated from June 7, 2011 through April 25, 2025. She concurrently maintains active membership in the Guillermo Velarde Nuclear Fusion Institute (IFN-GV) since September 20, 2006 and the research group 'Science and Technology of Advanced Nuclear Fission Systems' since June 14, 2005.

Her research spans critical domains in energy systems with nuclear specialization, characterized by:

• Computational mathematics for energy modeling
• Safety engineering and reliability analysis in power systems
