Nurezlin Mohd Azib is a trainee lecturer at the Department of Music and Music Education, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), Malaysia, currently on study leave to pursue her PhD at the Royal College of Music (RCM), London. Her research focuses on enhancing expressive music performance through multisensory implicit learning programs. She holds advanced degrees in music and science, including a Master of Arts in Music from the University of Malaya and a Bachelor of Music (Distinction) from the University of Southern Queensland.
At UPSI, she teaches courses such as Piano Proficiency, Aural Training, Music Theory, and Musicianship, emphasizing creative pedagogy. Her doctoral research under Dr. Mary Stakelum at RCM addresses improving undergraduate music students' expressive communication through innovative teaching methods. She has also earned a scholarship from Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education to support her PhD studies.
Nurezlin’s academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology and an Advanced Diploma in Music. Her interdisciplinary background enriches her approach to music education and psychology. She aims to contribute to pedagogical advancements and enrich her academic career through this doctoral research.
