Nural YILDIZ is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Trakya University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. She has been with the university since earning her PhD in 2005, progressing from Assistant Professor in 2006 to Associate Professor in 2019. Her academic career includes significant administrative roles, having served as Deputy Head of the Department of Economics between 2008-2013 and as a Member of the Board of Higher Education between 2009-2012. She is also associated with Keşan Yusuf Çapraz School of Applied Sciences.
Dr. YILDIZ earned her educational qualifications at Turkish institutions, completing high school at Edirne High School in 1986, her Bachelor's degree at Dokuz Eylul University in 1992, her Master's degree at Trakya University in 2000, and her PhD at Trakya University in 2005.
Her research interests focus on economic growth, macroeconomics, Turkish economy, employment and unemployment dynamics, foreign trade, inflation, and input-output analysis. Her work often examines the Turkish economic experience through historical and contemporary lenses, with particular attention to policy implications. She has made significant contributions to understanding the relationship between economic growth and employment, foreign trade dynamics, and sectoral effects on the Turkish economy.
Analysis of her publications reveals a consistent focus on Turkish economic development, with particular emphasis on macroeconomic stability, growth-employment relationships, and sectoral analysis. Her work spans both theoretical and applied economics, often using historical data to inform contemporary policy debates. The most recent publications show increasing attention to inflation dynamics, sectoral effects on employment, and international economic relationships.

Dr. YILDIZ has contributed to numerous research projects, including the Edirne Province Lalapasa-Süloğlu Districts and Villages Income Structure Research in 2001. Her teaching portfolio includes courses on Economic Growth and Development, Economic Growth: Theory and Policies, Macroeconomic Analysis, Macroeconomics, and Turkish Economy.
