Nuno Gomes

Nuno Gomes is an Assistant Professor at ISPA - University Institute and a post-doctoral researcher at the William James Center for Research (University of Aveiro, Portugal). His research investigates how emotional body odors influence social cognition, vigilance, and interpersonal relations through chemosignal transmission.

He earned his PhD in Social Psychology from ISPA in May 2021 with unanimous distinction and laudation, funded by an FCT doctoral fellowship.

Dr. Gomes' work bridges Social Psychology, Olfaction, and Emotion Science, specializing in fear, happiness, and aggression chemosignals.
