Nuno David is an Associate Professor at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, affiliated with the Department of Information Science and Technology within the School of Technologies and Architecture. He is also an Integrated Researcher at DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte, focusing on socioeconomic change and territory. He serves as the Data Protection Officer at Iscte and chairs the Ethics Committee of the School of Technologies and Architecture, while also being a member of the university-wide Ethics Council.

His recent publications highlight a consistent focus on ethical dimensions of simulation, disaster response modeling (e.g., tsunami evacuation), and digital governance. Articles frequently appear in high-impact journals such as Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation, AI & Society, and Geosciences, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement across computer science, social sciences, and ethics.

His work integrates academic research with practical policy and institutional governance, particularly in data protection and research ethics.
He has contributed to multiple projects on e-government in developing contexts, especially in Mozambique, and has developed tools for analyzing academic collaboration networks. His teaching includes courses on simulation, programming, and professional ethics in computing.
