Nuno Amado is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon and a researcher at the Center for Communication and Culture Studies (CECC) of the Faculty of Human Sciences at the Catholic University of Portugal. He actively collaborates with the “Estranhar Pessoa” project, focusing on the works of Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa and his heteronyms.
- Doctorate in Literary Theory (University of Lisbon)
- Author of Os Anos da Vida de Ricardo Reis (2019) and Toda uma Literatura: Caeiro – Reis – Campos (2022)
His research spans Portuguese literature (19th-20th centuries), art, philosophy, and literary theory, with a focus on Pessoa's heteronyms and their intersections with aesthetics and existential thought. Recent publications highlight trends in heteronym analysis, modernist poetry, and cross-disciplinary studies linking literature with philosophy and film. He has actively participated in conferences, peer-review processes, and media contributions on topics ranging from Pessoa's legacy to contemporary cultural debates.
