Fabrizio Boscaglia is a lecturer and researcher at Lusófona University in Lisbon, Portugal, where he also serves as deputy director of the master's program in Science of Religions and is a member of the LusoGlobe (Lusófona Center on Global Challenges). He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon and collaborates with the Center for Global Studies at the Aberta University, as well as the Center of Philosophy and the Center for Comparative Studies at the University of Lisbon.

His research focuses on the reception and representation of Islam in contemporary Portuguese culture, the thought and work of Fernando Pessoa, and Sufism and Islamic spirituality. He explores the intersections between literature, philosophy, and religion, particularly how Arab-Islamic culture influenced modernist Portuguese intellectuals. His work spans comparative studies of Ibn Arabi and Maria Gabriela Llansol, the philosophical reading of Omar Khayyam by Pessoa, and the role of Islamic traditions in shaping Lusophone cultural identity.
His recent publications reflect a strong trend in intercultural philosophy, Islamic heritage in Portugal, and literary-religious studies. Themes include the spiritual dimensions of Pessoa’s heteronyms, the presence of Islamic philosophy in Portuguese modernism, and the historical continuity of Muslim presence in the Iberian Peninsula. His editorial and curatorial work further underscores his commitment to making Islamic cultural contributions visible in European academic and public spheres.
