Nuha Ibrahim is an Assistant Professor in Public Health at the University of Limerick's School of Medicine. Her research focuses on global health systems, maternal health, nutrition, and sustainable development goals. She holds a PhD in Global Health from Trinity College Dublin (2016) and has extensive professional experience in academic leadership roles, including acting director of the MSc in Global Health program at Trinity College Dublin (2016–2018). Her work emphasizes health equity, migrant health, and technology adoption in public health systems.
Research interests span health systems strengthening, human resources for health, and maternal health interventions. She has contributed to UN SDG initiatives, particularly in Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities). Her recent studies include scoping reviews on NICU parent satisfaction, migrant health in Ireland, and diabetic retinopathy screening in sub-Saharan Africa.
Professional memberships include the Irish Global Health Network (2012–2019), where she served on the board of management. Her expertise combines quantitative research methods with policy analysis, addressing challenges in global health equity and healthcare innovation adoption.
