Nova Lauder-Scott is a Teaching Professor at the University of Strathclyde's Institute of Education, joining in 2019 after 25 years in primary education. She holds leadership roles including Course Leader for the Into Headship Programme and contributes to academic governance via the Institute of Education Ethics Committee and PGDE Primary Academic Selector. Her research focuses on understanding how teachers support children with distressed behavior, as explored in her Ed.D. project titled *'They just get it': Scottish Head Teachers’ Stories about Teachers who are adept at supporting children with distressed behaviour*.
