Kandi Higgins

Kandi Higgins is a Teaching Professor in the School of Education at the University of Strathclyde, having transitioned from a 21-year career as a secondary school teacher of French and German. Since joining as permanent staff in 2017, she focuses on enhancing teacher training through practical classroom insights. She leads key modules including the PGDE Modern Languages Curriculum and Pedagogy (CCL) Module, the BA4 Primary Languages Option Module, and coordinates the PGDE Part-Time Pathway. Her roles also include Joint Module Leadership for the PGDE Professional Specialisation Module and managing student placements.
