Norma Arizpe is a Senior Lecturer at Texas A&M University's Department of Spanish. She teaches undergraduate courses including first/second year Spanish, Honors courses, SPAN 310 Oral Expression, SPAN 302 Advanced Grammar, and SPAN 303 Composition and Conversation.

Her research interests focus on Hispanic Studies, Spanish grammar and culture, Spanish for Medical Professions, and Spanish for Heritage Speakers.
Notable recognitions include the 2009 College Level Association of Former Students Distinguished Teaching Award, and student-named honors: Fish Camp (1992) and T-camp (1996).
She chaired the university-wide committee ¡Siempre! 130 years of Hispanics at Texas A&M (2005–2006), resulting in an exhibit at Cushing Library.
