Noreen Goldman

Noreen Goldman is the Hughes-Rogers Professor of Demography and Public Affairs at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and a Faculty Associate at the Office of Population Research, Princeton University. She is a leading specialist in demography and social epidemiology with over 200 publications in population, epidemiology, sociology, and statistics journals.

Dr. Goldman's research focuses on the impact of social and economic factors, as well as stressful experiences, on health, and the physiological pathways through which these factors operate. Her work prominently features racial and ethnic disparities in health in the United States, with significant contributions to understanding Native American health outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has designed several large-scale surveys in Latin America and Asia, demonstrating her international research scope and methodological expertise in population studies.

Her recent publications reveal a strong focus on pandemic impacts, health disparities, and life course approaches to health.
